Coronavirus guidelines/special measures

With regards to the recent coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak

We have been advised to ask patients if they have traveled to and/or from those countries of concern (e.g. Italy/China, etc. for detailed and up to date information on countries affected visit the Foreign Office Website)

If you have traveled to any of these countries, or had close contact with anyone who has, then I would ask you just as a mater of precaution, not to come in to the clinic and follow Government Advice (which at the time of writing is to wait 14days).

Similarly if you have a cough, fever, or flue like symptoms (even if they are mild), again as a matter of precaution, I would ask you not to come in for treatment and get in touch with me to reschedule your appointment. The current advice is to leave it until 7 days after you are symptom free.

On my part, I will continue to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic, including the use of sanitising gel between patients, providing paper towels only for hand drying, and wiping down surfaces/door handles on a regular basis. It is just a question of doing as much as we can now to try and limit the spread of the virus, protecting vulnerable people, and hopefully avoid having to take more drastic measures later on.

Thank you all for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience.

Warmly,

Nuno.
